We are excited to announce that our new Oceanis 38 is now available for charter. Designed for responsive handling, comfort & safe sailing, the Oceanis 38 is a joy to sail! The wide beam of the boat continues to the aft resulting in sailing with minimal heel while twin rudders enable full control. Twin helms provide excellent visibility and the jib winches are positioned just forward of the helm allowing for easy single-handed tacking. A bow thruster provides for easy docking. The fiberglass arch over the companionway is the anchor point for the mainsheet allowing for easy movement within the cockpit and to the deck. A roller furling mainsail and full instrumentation including a chartplotter and wind instrument will add to your sailing enjoyment.
The large cockpit table has a storage compartment and handles for safe maneuvering in the cockpit. The transom on the Oceanis 38 folds down to form a large swim platform with a step – great for boarding the dinghy, swimming & snorkeling. A cockpit shower adds to the convenience.
The interior of the Oceanis 38 features a partially removable arch-shaped bulkhead between the forward cabin and the salon. Remove the bulkhead and create a single voluminous interior space or leave the bulkhead in place to maintain privacy in the forward cabin. An opening hatch & fan provide good ventilation. There is a drawer at the foot of the bed, a locker under the small settee on each side of the bed & hooks for storage. The aft cabin is to port & features a larger than queen size bed and good cross-ventilation with opening ports & fan. Just forward of the aft cabin, to port, you will find a large storage compartment which is also a hanging locker. The head, located to starboard of the companionway, has an electric toilet, vanity & shower. Additionally, there is a totally separate shower compartment, roomy with a seat, just aft of the head. Ideal to keep the head dry & tidy.
Below deck, opening hatches, portlights & fixed windows illuminate the interior with natural light. Finished in blond oak veneer with brown oak laminated cabin soles, the look is clean & modern. The in-line galley is to starboard complete with refrigerator, sink, two burner-stove with oven & ample storage space. The U-shaped settee to port provides comfortable seating and the dining table can easily accommodate six. The table converts to a double bed, if needed. An aft facing chart table is to port.
