With its exceptional seafaring qualities, the new Oceanis 55 is a perfect example of the ultimate cruising yacht, which is easy to sail and manageable in all weather. The exterior, by Berret Racoupeau was designed to be as inspirational as the interior by Nauta Design, and while both ensured that comfort was imperative, they have developed and exceeded upon the expectations of Beneteau’s loyal customer base. Blending suitability with sophistication, the clean modern lines of the Oceanis 55 have been implemented by employing contemporary design codes. An immediately identifiable character, the exterior is handsome with taut lines, while the interior is bright and spacious due to the intentional generous openings. The words that come to mind when talking about the Oceanis 55 are sophistication and suitability!

On board, the first detail that catches the eye is the positioning of the primary winches, which are close to the centerline in the cockpit. The helmsperson can comfortably adjust all the sails without leaving the helm station, enabling the Oceanis 55 to be handled by two persons. The cockpit is designed with comfort in mind, featuring lounge areas on the cabintop on each side of the companionway. With a cooler that’s integrated in the table, the cockpit space appears generous and open. The transom can be lowered electronically to form a swim platform nearly level with sea, simplifying access to the water & dinghy.

The owner’s stateroom forward offers spacious and elegant accommodation as well as a modern ensuite head. The two aft cabins, each with an ensuite head, are large and comfortable with ample storage space. The bow cabin, which is accessed through a large deck hatch, has two single bunks, shower & head.
